What the job involves

  • Reporting into our Chief Product and Data officer, you will manage 5 to 8 product leaders. Welcome to the Jungle recently acquired Otta and we’re on an exciting journey to create a global leader in the world of work

  • You will be part of and work closely with the global Welcome to the Jungle Leadership Team. You will develop and oversee delivery of the strategy to bring together the best of Otta and Welcome to the Jungle into a single global platform by 2026 

  • You will lead product teams across the UK and France to help give work a sustainable place in the lives of more than 2 million candidates worldwide. We have ~100 people in our Product and Technology teams across London and Paris, so you can be based in either and will be expected to travel between the two [1-2 times a month]

  • You will play a crucial role in shaping how the technology organisation operates as we scale internationally. In preparation for scaling, we’ve recently restructured our teams and adapted the Shape Up methodology to our team and now work in 8-week cycles

  • You will empower and hold the team to account for delivering accessible and inclusive products that understand and meet the needs of candidates and companies in all of our markets. We’ll begin commercialising our US business later this year, scaling our existing client base of ~5,500 companies

  • Informed by research, testing, analysis and market benchmarking, you’ll help teams navigate the nuances of developing a strong global product brand while also localising experiences

Profil recherché

Must-have requirements

  • You have led multiple product teams, including managing product leaders at Group Product Manager level and above, in a fast-paced scaleup (ideally in consumer tech/marketplace)

  • You’re passionate about building experiences that have a real impact on people’s lives

  • You take a strategic, pragmatic and grounded approach to solving problems of all shapes and sizes, knowing when to lean on data, qualitative insights and your instincts

  • You have a track record of defining the product vision and energising global teams to work towards this, and you’re comfortable switching altitudes and contexts throughout the day to unblock teams

  • You are an empathetic and effective people manager who can coach, mentor and lead teams through periods of growth and change, for example, launching products in new markets

  • You’re a clear and compelling communicator, and can tailor your approach and style to collaborate with different levels and functions across the business

Desirable requirements optional

  • It’s a bonus if you can speak French, but it’s not a requirement to succeed in this role.

  1. Initial chat to learn more about Otta and Welcome to the Jungle, and what you’re looking for next. This is a 30-minute call with Fattoum, our Talent Acquisition Manager

  2. A 45-minute call with Brice, Chief Product and Data Officer, to evaluate your product leadership skills and how you empower high-performing teams

  3. A chat with Antoine Benjamin, Co-CEO, and Billy, Head of Engineering at Otta (45 minutes) about your approach to decision making and product strategy

  4. A chat with Noëlla, Chief People Officer, exploring your ability to nurture a safe and inclusive team culture (45 minutes)

  5. Take-home task (2 hours) - Our objective is to evaluate your capability to drive innovation and change. We ask you to only spend 2 hours on this, it isn't timed and you can complete it in your own time

    and Final interview with Jérémy, Co-CEO and Brice to discuss your task (45-minutes)

We expect the process to take 2/3 weeks from start to finish, but we can move faster if you need us to.
